VISCOM,THE NEW COLLEGE GOES INTERNATIONAL - II

THE TEAM

THE "CIFF DAILY" NEWS BULLETIN COMPILED AND PUBLISHED EVERYDAY BY OUR STUDENTS UNDER THE GUIDANCE AND SPONSORSHIP OF ICAF .

The student volunteers of the Department of Visual Communication of the New College, Chennai played an important role in the conduct of the 9th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF).
All the the volunteers were always in the news for their contribution towards the successful conduct of the CIFF. Student volunteers were responsible for various activities like Delegate pass verification, Photography, Videography, Interviewing the celebrities from India and abroad and Introduction of the Films to the audience both in English and Tamil in all the Five centers namely South India Film Chambers theater, Sathyam, Woodlands, Inox and Woodland Symphony. Everyday they compiled the day's happenings and published a DAILY News Bulletin under the guidance and sponsorship of Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation ICAF, the organizers of CIFF.

The contribution of the Viscom Student Volunteers was much appreciated by everyone including Film Fans, Film Fraternity, the Organizers, Print & Electronic Media, all alike.

The Photos and Videos featured in this page can speak volumes about the sincere effort put in by the volunteers on all the Nine days of the Festival. They were the true ambassadors of the festival, "The Face of the Festival" as described by the organizers themselves.

The student volunteers had a fantastic opportunity to participate in the CIFF as part of the organizing team along with the able guidance of the leading Film Personalities who Organized it successfully. In addition to this rare experience student volunteers also had the opportunity to interact with the Film Personalities On and Off camera, which helped them learn a lot about Film Making and its nuances.

For giving this great opportunity to our students of Viscom our sincere thanks to all the Members of the ICAF, CIFF Organizing Committee and a special Thanks to Ms. Suhasini Manirathnam without whom the students would not have got this Golden Opportunity.

Students are really very happy to get an invaluable industrial exposure and hope the organizers were also very happy and satisfied with the students' volunteering services.
